It would be very practical if Snip-It supported variables like time/date in placeholders, as well as "global" variables that could be self defined. For instance, if I have a comment in a collection of my scripts that says "created by John Doe (john.doe@example.com)", that could have been a variable that could be changed whenever needed, and reflected in all of my [insert large number here] snippets. My name doesn't change very often of course, but my e-mail or web page URL might.

And it would be perfect if there was an ability to do some basic calculations and/or scripting in the snippets to make them more dynamic.

One last thing, the snippet main window does not always get focus when I create a new snippet in the side window, it's a bit annoying.

Otherwise I find the product to be great, and together with Autohotkey, it really simplifies my digital life!

Nice suggestion. I'll add it to my feature log and see if I can get it in the next release.

Thanks,
