I'm in the trial version now and I'm having trouble. I keep SIP minimized in the system tray and I run multiple monitors. When launched for the first time, SIP was docked successfully on the right side of my main monitor. When I minimize SIP the System Tray and then try to bring it back, whoa - craziness ensues. It takes me 10-30 seconds to remember how to fix it + fix it.

Any ideas?

First off, thanks for trying snip it pro, I'm sorry that you're having trouble.

When you see craziness ensues, what exactly happens for you? Also what do you do to fix it?

And lastly, so I can try to reproduce, what OS are you using: Vista or XP?

Thanks for letting us know there is a problem.

It goes to the other monitor and it goes all the way to the top right - and I mean all the way, to the point where the only visible portion is the bottom bar (maybe 10 pixels worth). To fix, I drag the bottom bar over and dock it on my "correct" monitor. It stays fine until I minimize/restore.

I'm using Windows 2008 actually.

I'm seeing something similar:

Bringing up the snippet toolbar results in a lot of dancing:

1) an empty floating window displays
2) the toolbar shows on the left edge of my main monitor, shoving some application windows over if the toolbar would cover any portion of them
3) the toolbar shows briefly on the right edge of my secondary monitor, also moving or resizing windows that would be covered in part otherwise
4) then the toolbar shows up where I've set it up (on the right of my main monitor) and disappears from the secondary monitor

So, all in all, the toolbar shows up in at least 3 places (all but the last of which are temporary) moving & resizing windows as it goes.

Also the toolbar doesn't seem to remember that it was 'unpinned' which I think it should.

Additionally, can we get a 'floating' toolbar option that doesn't move/resize my application windows - just displays on top of whatever window might be there? It would also be nice if the floating toolbar could be undocked from a screen edge.

Unfortuntely a lot of the flicker is the result of using a third party component to handle docking. It still sounds like it is doing at least one too many monitor moves, so I'll see if I can get to the bottom of it. What OS are you using?

I'll also check out the pin/unpin problem.

I'll add the floating window request to the feature backlog. Thanks for the feedback.
